History: American Title to Title365

American Title, Inc. opened for business as a nationwide title company in 1994 in Omaha, Nebraska, writing property reports. Over the years, we expanded our offerings to legal and vesting reports, settlement services, title insurance, and reports with E&O coverage.

In 2004, American Title was acquired by Bill Mackintosh, who grew the business by acquiring Collateral Intelligence, an appraisal company that was renamed ATI Valuations. American Title also added a satellite office in Melbourne, Florida (now in Palm Bay) in 2013. We were named as one of the Best Places to Work in Omaha in both 2011 and 2014.

We have prided ourselves on being big enough to meet all client requirements, yet small enough to deliver amazing customer service each and every time. We have focused our resources on becoming experts in the real estate information and home equity market. In order to create the best solutions, we leverage the vast amount of experience we have to work in collaboration with our clients to address each specific challenge.

In July 2016, American Title was sold to Assurant, Inc. becoming a part of Assurant Mortgage Solutions, which was itself acquired by Xome in August 2018. As part of the Xome acquisition, as of January 2019, American Title is rebranding as Title365.

Over the last 20, years we have created and refined the most mature database of abstractors and notaries, which allows us to offer accurate information in every county in the country. We keep track of this data to provide feedback to all of our stakeholders, to improve the way we produce the solutions.


We have not only accepted third-party oversight, but we have also embraced what this means for our company and our clients. We have invested heavily to make sure that we not only meet the requirements, but we also continue to work with clients to make sure that we exceed the future requirements.
